The nature of love

Great quote from an interview with my buddy Derek Sivers:

If you think love needs to look like “Romeo and Juliet”, you’ll overlook a great relationship that grows slowly.

This is so true, and particularly pertinent to my own recent experience with a very close friend who is desperately looking for love. She's in the "Looking for Romeo" category and has a history of dramatic, destructive relationships. I hope she comes to her senses one day and finds what she needs, rather than what she's looking for.

However, Derek is mainly referring to his passion for life - doing things that excite you and building a life around them. He is, as usual spot on and I intend to follow this philosophy in my pursuit of Musowiki and musical ventures. I will, of course let you know how it goes ...
