Before the music dies

Great to see some respect being paid to the creators and developers of the less-acknowledged music in the USA. I haven't seen "Before the Music Dies" but it's long overdue, given the sad history of exploitation of performing artists.

Can't wait to see an in-depth coverage of the wonderful music and musicians that the US has created over the years - instead of being constantly bombarded with the superficial crap that the US is also responsible for. There's too much of that everywhere ...

Cory absolutely right, but the major labels want to draw attention to the issue that affects them and maintain the obscurity of artists not signed to them ...

Punter, you good thing

Well done, Ricky Ponting! A fantastic captain's knock from an athlete who's really come of age and is getting better with experience.

Gotta say, though, it was pretty ordinary to put the boys in that position to start with ... still, an ability to get out of tight situations is the mark of a champion team.

Ignorant journos ...

Can't even get the basics right!

The Sydney Morning Herald is today reporting on the Stones' Sydney concert, which was, by all reports, a beauty. However, they say Skeiff started the night with "a black Stratocaster guitar slung around his knees". However, the photo plainly shows Skeiff is playing a TELECASTER.

Clearly a detail that was not accurate and did not need to be included ... stick to describing the things you understand, Richard ...
