Sports update

Haven't mentioned my one true vice for a while so I thought I'd post a coupla quick thoughts I've had on the sporting world.

First, well done The Matildas. Awesome effort, girls, to become the first Australian soccer team to win anything significant. Very proud of you!

Second, great to see the young Broncos developing nicely after an awful start to the season. Well done to all of them - coaches and leadership team as well as players - for turning potential into performance. You are a credit to the Broncos' proud record.

While we're on Rugby League, GO MAROONS! Great start to this year's campaign, but complacency is your biggest pitfall from here boys. Make sure you get the job done.

And Joey, Joey, Joey. You dumb c___ ....

Third, Rugby. Well done, Wallabies. Two wins but a shaky scrum against the Poms - that's gotta improve rapidly and I'm sure it will. Not even close to beating the All Blacks or the Springboks yet ...

Finally, touch. I am in the QLD over 40s side again this year and looking forward to Coffs Harbour in a coupla weeks. I've been feeling strangely distracted and distant from the whole thing this year but I'm sure it will come together once i get down there ...
