Diabolical neglect

It's a tragedy for the Rugby League World Cup that the Australian TV stations have neglected it. I had my heart set on watching every game in this World Cup - since it is being played in my back yard - but was shattered to find that some of them are not even being covered. Worse, games involving the Australian team are not being shown live.

That is an absolute disgrace - for the game and for the fans. how can we have allowed the interests of a TV station to determine that we watch second-rate crap like 60 Minutes rather than our World Champion national team competing at home? Then the newspapers are filled with discussions about how the game needs to grow at international level - and yet its international showpiece is neglected ...

Then there's the notion that the Pacific Island teams are playing a brand of football that the stultifying conditions of the NRL and Super League simply don't allow to happen. I WANNA WATCH IT!!! I'm tempted to boycott Channel 9 for the rest of the year in protest.

Get your Shit together, Rugby League administrators, or earn the wrath of the fans. NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!!
